If we panic, we see panic. If we ease up, we see ourselves through panic… we see light at the end of the tunnel.
That is the elusive yet true nature of Truth. It changes according to our vision but still remains the truth, however fragmented.
So, how we choose to see, is up to us.
But, it’s manic to even suggest a calm outlook when things begin to spiral out of control.
What then is cortisol for? It secretes for a reason and manifests itself in the form of panic. ‘Fight or flight’ is the way to stay safe. And, it works. Many times. When supported by knowledge.
When not supported by knowledge, panic, in its blind hurry to set a difficult moment right, can actually end up achieving just the opposite, by pushing things off the edge they’re precariously clinging to. And, dangerously enough, it can close all doors and windows on Knowledge.
Knowledge, unfortunately, works only in certain conditions. Like rains.
To be assimilated, it needs a calm state of mind to mull over its content, understand it and internalize it. An arty affair, so to speak.
Which means, we need to anticipate and be prepared for a panic situation much before it arrives, understand its dynamics and handle it well if it does arrive.
